What you would be doing

Provide on-time, quality delivery of engineering documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
Support GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and responding to Corrective Actions.
Execute the design/ analysis and reviews of Seismic Category I and Seismic Category II structures.
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
Perform structural analysis for reinforced concrete and steel framed structures for seismic, hydrodynamic, thermal, wind and tornado loads using ANSYS, SAP2000 or GT-STRUDL computer codes.
Primary responsibilities will be to perform structural engineering analysis, design and review of the static and dynamic analysis/qualification of nuclear power plant structures to ensure that the design meets the Canadian code requirements, and to coordinate design reviews between GE and local AE firms.

Fundamental knowledge of TI and BOP systems analyses and design.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
Working knowledge of CNSC Regulatory Guides, Canadian National Building Codes and Standards.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands and priorities
Bachelor's Degree of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.
0-3 years of experience in civil/structural design.
Working knowledge of Canadian design codes and requirements.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with others.
