The Supervisor, Environmental Programs leads and mentors a team of environmental professionals to design, implement, and continuously improve programs that ensure regulatory compliance and promote an environmental learning culture. This role monitors evolving regulations, manages operational and environmental risks, and oversees enterprise‑level reporting both internally and externally.
Key duties include monitoring and analyzing performance metrics for environmental programs, driving implementation and reporting of compliance initiatives, and defining and communicating processes and metrics to leadership. The supervisor also oversees training for business operations, collaborates with field environmental leaders to address compliance risks, and coordinates workforce planning, career development, and expense forecasting through data analysis. Additional tasks are performed as assigned.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field and at least seven years of experience in the natural gas industry with a focus on environmental compliance and emissions control. Preferred candidates have five or more years leading a team, knowledge of environmental management systems, and familiarity with regulatory rulemaking and facility operations. Understanding of environmental laws, compliance assurance, and leadership capabilities are essential.
