Implements the QA/QC process for all drawings and specifications to ensure overall accuracy and quality standards are met.
Provides project staffing updates and addresses any workforce concerns.
Collaborates with project teams to identify areas of risk and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Collaborates with other disciplines and personnel to provide documentation/drawing releases for submittal reviews and approval.
Promotes design studio standards and best practices throughout the design process.
Oversees revisions of designs and plans to comply with modified specifications made during actual construction resulting in as-built drawings.
Manages the production of complex technical shop drawings generated from specifications, concepts, preliminary sketches, and schematics provided by client, as needed.
Leads team meetings to coordinate design requirements, options and ideas for building the project.
Develops and maintains schedules and task durations for all phases of the project.
Contributes to cost projection forecasts.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present ideas and content that contribute to the department’s strategic priorities.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Rhino, Revit, and/or similar software.
Ability to provide guidance to the district, offer strategic counsel, and influence decisions at the project level.
Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.
Strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
Intermediate knowledge of the construction process and the various components involved at each stage of construction.
Advanced proficiency in technical drawings and constructability, 3D modeling, Quality Assurance & Quality Control practices, and BIM coordination.
Demonstrates a high level of critical thinking and sound decision-making skills; ability to identify and mitigate risks for the project.
3 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
Ability to apply design, architectural, and/or engineering knowledge and practices dependably and efficiently.
Demonstrated experience in managing others and resolving staffing issues at the project level.
Associates' or Bachelor's degree in design, architecture, engineering, construction, or a related discipline.
7 years of progressive experience in a production environment preferred.
