CMTA, formerly known as AMA Group, is hiring a Project Engineer, Commissioning, who will be responsible for preforming building and systems commissioning work on a range of both small and large projects. This is a hands-on role that will be given the opportunity to lead projects and represent CMTA in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. In this role, the Project Engineer will receive guidance and mentorship from the commissioning group leader and will be trained to become a Project Manager.
- Write comprehensive reports which include the following sections: recommendations for optimizing building operations (Energy Audits)
- Create documents such as commissioning plans, commissioning reports, design qualification equipment, facility and utility protocols, and final reports
- Manage several concurrent projects that are in various stages of design, construction, and warranty periods
- Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, accurate reports, sketches, calculations, technical drawings, spreadsheets, and 2D/3D illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses
- Perform professional building and system commissioning work by conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, resources, layout, usage, and systems to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and installation or operating permits

- Proficient with technical writing of documents such as: commissioning plans (CMP): user requirements specifications (URS), risk assessments (RA), factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), pre-functional tests (PFT), functional tests (FT), commissioning test plans (CTP), integrated system tests (IST), maintenance, calibration, and spare parts
- Education: Bachelors in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- LEED Commissioning Fundamental, Enhanced and Monitoring Based Commissioning
- 3-5years' experience in commissioning or MEP design
- Local travel to project sites; there may be travel to California, New Jersey, and Miami as needed
- Knowledgeable of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems: ability to read, interpret, and correct P&IDs, and experience with working in construction environments

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000
