Overview

Operate forklifts, handle raw materials, and maintain safety in production.

Tasks

-Follow storage bay location procedure. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. -Build pallets according to standard for product. -Follow FIFO system when retrieving raw materials. -To operate forklifts in a safe manner observing all company policies. -Maintain a clean and safe environment. -Unload raw materials from trucks in Production area. -Follow quality requirements of not shipping damaged product to customers. -To complete production paperwork as applicable (verify daily production). -Participate in cycle counts. -Perform waste disposal per work instructions -Communicate with and fill in for packagers.

What You Bring

-Ability to use a computer -Must have experience using regular forklifts, roofing forks and carpet pole lifts -Demonstrate the ability to identify material classifications including prime, rework and scrap. -Knowledge of environmental policies and work instructions related to job -High School Diploma -Know proper procedures for packaging of materials. -Ability to multi-task -Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice
