Assist with drafting, computer modeling, data entry, preparation of construction plans and specifications, technical memos, and reports, as required.
Provide support to other groups within Stantec, as business needs dictate and workload allows, for exposure to other disciplines and client types related to engineering and environmental science.
As an intern, you can expect to carry out a variety of different tasks related to engineering and construction. The primary duties for this internship position will entail construction observation, QA/QC testing, and communication with contractors and clients. The wide variety of tasks you’ll be involved in makes every day interesting by expanding your knowledge as you gain field and office experience. Serve internal and external clients by being responsive and reliable.
Construction progress reports and communicate with project team, contractor, and client as required.

Previous construction observation experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field OR an Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related program.
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time.
Additional relevant experience is also preferred, including soil testing, surveying, drafting, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
Construction observation and documentation, field testing and field measurements (construction CQA).
Strong communication skills and customer service experience are desired.
Valid Driver’s License.
