The role is an entry‑level assembler located in Bartow, Florida, focused on pulling cable and assembling concrete poles according to written procedures. The incumbent will also assist with pole inspection, post‑job cleanup, and other tasks related to the pole assembly process.
Key duties include pulling and cutting cable strands, placing them on tension plates, removing straps from coils, installing strands, spirals, chucks, and wiring, marking hole patterns, operating saws, tightening rebar, inspecting plates, and installing ground wires and other components to safely assemble the pole cage.
The employee works with lubrication‑mold operators and crane operators to reinforce baskets, monitor tension stands, correct pre‑stressing steel, and report any defects. Physical labor is demanding, requiring long hours in extreme environmental conditions and handling reusable materials for production rotation while complying with OHS and fire‑safety guidelines.
Additional responsibilities involve basic cleanup, general housekeeping, using hand tools, measuring with a tape, and ensuring equipment and materials are stored correctly. The role also requires professional communication with coworkers, attention to detail, and flexibility to work overtime.
Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED (preferred), one year of general‑labor experience in a manufacturing setting, basic mathematics, tape‑measure proficiency, and the ability to read and write English. They must be able to work in extreme temperatures, handle chemicals and particulates, solve practical problems, lift up to 50 lb, and perform repetitive physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and kneeling.
