Develop training materials, user guides, and reference resources for staff to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes
Create dashboards or tracking system to monitor key deadlines, expirations, receivables, and outstanding actions.
Assist with entering contracts and agreements data into the Port Authority’s finance and real estate management system
Assist Aviation Properties & Commercial Development team with collecting critical documentation from external and internal stakeholders to facilitate agreement execution and record keeping
Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency and standardization across the Properties & Commercial Development team
Digitize manual tasks such as permit processing, lease updates, compliance monitoring, and tenant follow-up reminders.
Work with Property Representatives to prepare new agreements and review/monitor current agreements to ensure compliance.

In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits interns to work remotely a maximum of one day per week. In person collaboration is essential to how the Port Authority conducts business and regular in-office days or team collaboration days may be required depending on business needs. Some internships may require interns to be fully in-person.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for process efficiency.
Familiarity with Power Automate or similar tools
Creative thinking and openness to learning new technologies and methodologies
Ability to opt in to the New York State and Local Retirement System
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple ongoing projects.
Experience with Microsoft apps such Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision
Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
Experience or interest in one or more of the following areas: process improvement (e.g. Lean), Design Thinking, and/or change management
Major in Business Management, Information Management/Systems, Aviation Management, or a related field
