Distribution Centre Manager

Description

As the Distribution Center Manager, you will lead operational excellence across our warehouse and yard, ensuring seamless, efficient processes with customer satisfaction at the forefront. You will shape strategies, streamline workflows, and champion a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement, making a measurable impact on performance, innovation, and IPEX’s world‑class supply chain solutions.

• Oversee daily distribution operations to achieve service and quality goals.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards for employees, contractors, and carriers.
• Build and inspire a high‑performing team through coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.
• Manage scheduling, timecard approvals, and workforce planning.
• Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to boost productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory control through physical counts and system reconciliation.
• Prepare annual budgets, track expenditures, and analyze variances.
• Partner with transportation, procurement, production, and customer service teams.
• Adhere to internal standards, regulatory requirements, and programs such as C‑TPAT.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and propose innovative solutions.
• Maintain facilities and equipment through proactive maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in distribution or logistics (union environment experience is an asset).
• Strong bilingual communication skills (English and French).
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with RF systems and SAP is an asset.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage processes, and analyze data effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
