The role involves delivering project objectives in line with the Project Plan, supervising project teams and stakeholders to meet key performance indicators. Responsibilities include managing intermediate tasks, monitoring timeframes and budgets, coordinating procurement of consultants and contractors, and documenting project changes and handover information. The incumbent will lead risk management, ensure robust quality systems, conduct regular site walks, and contribute to net‑zero carbon transition goals.
Candidates must have proven experience in project management of small to medium sized projects, strong communication and presentation skills, and budgetary oversight expertise. A solid understanding of project management methodologies, construction sequencing, health and safety regulations and sector‑specific knowledge is essential. Relevant technical qualifications or certifications (e.g., MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, CSCS) and a degree or equivalent in engineering, construction or project management are required.
Desirable attributes include membership of professional bodies such as RICS, CIOB, APM or ICE, commercial and financial acumen, and experience with water, utilities or civil infrastructure projects.
