Work effectively with peers, junior engineers and other discipline designers to ensure accurate delivery that will meet utility Standards, industry standards and meet good engineering practices, policies and procedures.
Preparation and review of quality assurance procedures, performing inspections at vendor's workshops.

Prepare Bills of Materials and Cable Schedules.
Prepare detailed specifications for following components and system.
Prepare Power Single Line Diagram, Relay and Metering One-line diagram including specifying the ratings of the major equipment.

Performing system studies using ETAP software for short circuit, grounding, load flow and arc flash calculations.
Calculations and preparation of protection relay settings.
Prepare AC three-line diagram, Elementary Schematics and Wiring diagrams.
Prepare and assisting conceptual Design of complex projects.
Prepare the design basis memorandum and detailed engineering scope and guide the assigned discipline engineers to align the engineering deliverables according to project requirements.
Prepare detailed layout drawings for generation plant and substation/ switchyards.
Preparation and review of as built/ record/ closeout drawings and documents.
Preparation of testing and commissioning procedures.

A bachelor'S or master's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized Institution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Powerhouse LV building services system (Fire Alarm, Lighting, security and access control, HVAC) MV/LV cable system.
Generation Station service AC and DC power distribution system including motor controls.
High Voltage AIS and GIS Equipment.
A minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in hydropower generation.
Good knowledge of North American codes and standards such as CSA, IEEE and ANSI.
Auxiliary systems for generation plant (governor system, intake and spillway gates control, electrical systems).
AutoCAD drafting software experience.
MV Switchgear including bus duct and generator circuit breakers.
Proficiency in ETAP and Microsoft Office software.
Generator including excitation systems.
Revit or other 3D software knowledge will be an asset.
