Connect mixer to proper conveying system to generate proper input and pump to correct silo
Accurately weight each material and add to compounder in the proper order
Complete all required paperwork as required
Receive raw materials as directed by operating policy
Set up the mixer system to produce compound needed for production
Make routine inspections of mixer system daily. Write work orders for repair of items found not to be operating correctly
Check weigh scales periodically for zero reading. Know how to adjust scales to zero. Also, must know how to zero scales with empty bucket or box on scales
Maintain blend levels in silos as instructed
Stock raw materials for mixing operation per operating policy
Alert foreman when weighing error is discovered
Use safe working practice for operations and wear proper protective equipment
Weigh each ingredient to the required formulation. Must be able to understand formulation they are using. Must put in ingredients in proper order to maintain proper batch according to accumulating weights
Handle material for weighing and supply blender with bucket weighed materials. Be able to operate forklift in tight areas to supply materials to weigh station
Keep work area neat and clean at all times
Assist maintenance personnel in repairing blending equipment upon request
Select and place for use materials for compound to be mixed
Keep all hose caps installed on all railcars and hoses to keep dirt and rocks from contaminating resin

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Recognize all ingredients visually. Must be able to recognize per bag what each ingredient is
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to work with computers
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Must be able to climb silo and take measurements. Must be able to climb and work on top of railcars
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
