Project Manager/Construction Manager - Lancaster, PA

Description

*EAD will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary.

• Regularly works in outside weather conditions
• Review and approve construction-related proposals, subcontractor invoices, and project-specific documents.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Participate in evaluation of construction bids, recommend selections, and provide input on subcontractor schedules.
• Interface with client representatives, architect/engineers, and other relevant parties to facilitate construction activities.
• Actively participate in marketing efforts and support business development initiatives.
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to timelines.
• Understand the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
• Contribute to the development of project proposals, offering expertise in scope definition, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Manage project costs, schedules, and performance metrics to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct constructability reviews, evaluate site arrangements, and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols and standards.
• Lead large-scale, multi-disciplined projects, ensuring project profitability and client satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety standards and practices, promoting a culture of safety throughout project execution.
• Communicate effectively with senior-level client project sponsors, addressing concerns and escalating complex issues as needed.
• Provide consistent and reliable PM/CM support to EAD's client by leading and managing cross-disciplined project teams comprised of engineers, vendors, subcontractors, owners, suppliers, and any other project stakeholders throughout the execution of the project(s).
• Prepare project reports, including utilization, profitability, critical path analysis, and project metrics.
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and equipment*
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with clients, project stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties.

Requirements

EAD Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Manager/Construction Manager to support our client's team at a food and beverage manufacturing plant in Lancaster, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the manufacturing sector, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of successfully overseeing projects from inception to completion. This role requires a personable self-starter that has the ability to build strong relationships, the skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in a dynamic manufacturing environment. • Have a working knowledge of the cost of goods and services
• Possess and able to maintain a valid driver's license
• 2-5 years of construction management experience
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs*
• Excellent time management and problems solving skills
• Proven track record of managing projects in excess of $1 million.
• Engineering and/or field experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or related field preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in project management and/or supervising/managerial role
• Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs and/or work in confined spaces in extreme conditions
• PMP certified or committed to obtain it within 12 months
• Have the ability to prioritize large volumes of complex work to meet established deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
• Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals*
• Possess dispute resolution skills
• Proven leadership ability and detail oriented
• Have a demonstrated ability to solicit, evaluate and manage the price, schedule and quality of objectives of individual projects
• Travel is required
• Must possess OSHA 30hr certification
• Proven safety knowledge and skills
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Understand project cost control and change order management
