The Site Engineer will support the site delivery team by ensuring works are set out accurately, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, testing workmanship, maintaining records, and driving continuous improvement so projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Build strong relationships with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Provide and maintain setting‑out and dimensional control for accurate construction.
- Verify setting‑out points, benchmarks, and equipment calibration compliance.
- Implement and record test and inspection plans (ITPs) for workmanship and materials.
- Support planning, programming, and daily site operation coordination.
- Uphold highest health, safety, environmental, and quality performance standards.
- Ensure works are properly resourced, supervised, and follow drawings/specifications.
- Proactively solve problems and drive continuous improvement in methods and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records, survey data, and reports for commercial and delivery teams.

- Demonstrated experience in civil engineering setting‑out and quality control.
- Ability to create and implement effective ITPs.
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering practices and construction standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills at all organisational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Hold a valid CSCS card.
- Flexible and willing to travel across North Wales.
- Experience in the energy sector (desirable).
- Willingness to travel across England and Wales (desirable).
- Temporary works awareness or coordinator experience (desirable).
- Certified in First Aid at Work (desirable).
- Trained to HSG47 (Cat & Genny) standards (desirable).
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).
