  • Developing and managing of project control tools.
  • Undertaking site visits and surveys
  • Developing tools to manage and process data to support decision making and friendlier visualisation.
  • Undertaking day-to-day project/programme management activities to successfully develop and deliver energy projects
  • Keeping up-to-date on the Energy Sector (trends, changes, policy, technology, etc.) to ensure you can understand and deliver excellence to clients.
  • Supporting business development activities, for future work opportunities
  • Liaising and coordinating between clients and multidisciplinary suppliers, contractors and subject matter experts (both internal and external to Arup) and undertaking research in order to produce high-quality conclusions and recommendations reports that are suitable to share with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Management and development of the Arup appointment and client relationship – this includes being responsible for its commercial success
  • Application of software packages such as Power BI, MS Project, MS Excel, SharePoint, etc.
  • Scoping and coordination of multidisciplinary experts for the delivery of tasks and/or small packages of work
  • Supporting project teams with the development of technical/commercial papers and reports and presenting on the findings and conclusions – for example, this could be a feasibility study advising on technical options for energy storage systems
  • Supporting clients' journeys to achieve ‘bankability' of their project and obtain a timely financial investment decision
  • Advising on project and programme management best practice
  • Advising on aspects such as policy, legislation and procurements options and, ultimately, coordinating the delivery of procurement activities.

  • You have good working knowledge of Power BI, MS Project, MS Excel, SharePoint, MS PowerPoint.
  • You have excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • You have great reasoning and analytical skills.
  • You are proactive when progressing uncertain/complex problems and apply an iterative approach to identifying and progressing solutions.
  • You are confident in applying essential mathematical concepts — such as arithmetic and compound percentages — to support the financial and commercial management of projects
  • You are able to develop ideas/concepts and confidently and clearly articulate and present them to a variety of audiences
  • You are working towards a relatable Bachelor's degree (or higher level) with a prediction of 2:1 or higher.
  • You can effectively manage competing project requirements and stakeholders.
  • You have knowledge of project and programme management.
  • You have experience in coding and/or data analytics.
  • You thrive within busy and diverse multidisciplinary teams.
  • You have an awareness of engineering, construction and the built environment.
  • You have the ability to communicate confidently, clearly, proactively, and effectively in written and verbal communications.
  • You have knowledge of the energy sector and the associated technologies.
  • You have an awareness of professional services and engineering contracts and procurement.
