Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination.
- Demonstrated capability to influence, negotiate and facilitate buy-in with a variety of stakeholders up to and including labor organizations, clients, external PTA's, and other counterpart transportation agencies
- Proficient at Financial Forecasting, Estimating, Accruals, and Budget Management
- Highly organized and disciplined
- Commercially astute with good negotiating skills
- Previous Experience in a Leadership role managing direct reports
- Demonstrate understanding and adhere to the KCS principals of Employee Engagement, Operational Excellence & Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Corporate Social Responsibility and Economic Performance
- Must excel at working collaboratively and independently dependent on what the activity requires
- Strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams' capability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Process Improvement and Development
- 8+ years of Professional experience with an emphasis in project delivery organizations
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, Association of American Railroads, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to build trust in relationships
- Experience in developing "ground up" forecasts and estimates for deliverables
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and Data modeling tools
- General understanding of construction means and methods
- Budget, cost, and profitability management skills
- Capability to manage and develop personnel of differing backgrounds and experience
- Experience working within a Matrixed Organization is a plus
