Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues that may arise in the field.
Lead the mechanical design process to strictly comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (ANSI, IEEE, IEC, local codes).
Maintain accurate records of all design changes, revisions, and updates.
Provide technical support for maintenance and repair activities on deployed switchboard products.
Actively monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities through design optimization without compromising quality or safety.
Ensure that switchboard design complies with relevant design practices, electrical codes, and safety standards such as UL891, UL67, UL508A, UL50, the National Electric Code (NEC), the New York City Electric Code (NYCEC), ANSI, IEEE, IEC, the Utility Standard, and local regulations.
Employ simulation and analysis tools to optimize designs for superior performance, reliability, and thermal management.
Develop comprehensive mechanical designs for switchboard enclosures, busbars, and structural components, utilizing advanced CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models.
Generate comprehensive engineering documentation, including detailed mechanical specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and user-friendly technical manuals.

Service and Distribution Switchboards: Up to 8000A
Experience in sheet metal and fabrication design.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Panelboards: Up to 2000A
Proficiency in advanced CAD software or mechanical design AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree a plus).
Familiarity with major brands in the industry (Schneider, ABB, Eaton)
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
