Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer - Azure Platform

Description

• Train and mentor team members across Infrastructure Support and End User Computing.
• Collaborate with the Security team and End User Computing on best practice design, configuration and any complex infrastructure aspects of their implementation.
• Provide technical support to Development teams, especially for our Sunbelt 4.0 digital transformation programme.
• Supporting development teams with digital transformation and cloud adoption.
• Recommend and implement improvements, including in response to security trends and incidents.
• Lead and deliver projects, ensuring alignment with IT strategy and business objectives.
• Support the development and implementation of IT strategy and roadmap.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your specialism, providing guidance and mentoring to colleagues.
• Providing technical guidance on Azure best practices and security.
• Design, implement, and support IT infrastructure solutions (on-premises and cloud) to meet business needs.
• Defining and enforcing Azure governance policies.

Requirements

• Core Azure platform design, support, and governance.
• Experience in multi-site network environments.
• Willingness to continually advance your skills and knowledge within IT Infrastructure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Be flexible to work on projects or support in any area of IT Infrastructure as required.
• Advanced knowledge in the following specialisms (see below).
• Positive, self-motivated, and able to motivate others.
• Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure projects in an enterprise environment.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, ARM/Bicep).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems.
