The manager is responsible for shaping and implementing sourcing strategies for key electrical components such as wires, cables, connectors, terminal blocks and panel assemblies, ensuring continuous supply, quality, and cost competitiveness while aligning with the broader business objectives.
In this role the individual will act as the internal market expert, develop comprehensive supplier maps, produce orientation charts, collaborate with R&D and project teams to forecast needs, and champion standard part usage through the Global Material Master program and procurement tools.
Additional duties include detailed spend analysis, gate‑keeping new supplier onboarding, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, setting negotiation targets, preparing contract templates, and managing contractual discussions, all while demonstrating Hitachi’s core values of safety and integrity.
Candidates must hold an electrical engineering degree and bring roughly ten years of experience in project‑based electrical or electronic installations combined with supply‑chain or business‑management expertise, and must possess a solid understanding of the market and its major suppliers.
