Senior Accounts Executive (SAP)

Description

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals handling US accounting.
• Support external audits and ensure timely audit closures.
• Allocate work, set priorities, and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Partner with US-based stakeholders, finance leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
• Review team output to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
• Own and manage finance processes on SAP (SAP FICO mandatory).
• Drive SAP-based reporting, controls, and process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements (if applicable).
• Ensure accurate configuration, postings, and reconciliations in SAP.
• Conduct performance reviews and support team development.
• Act as the primary finance SPOC for SAP-related issues and improvements.
• Lead end-to-end accounting operations in line with US GAAP, including GL, AP, AR, revenue recognition, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Handle intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and MIS reports to senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounts Manager – US Accounting with strong expertise in SAP to lead and manage end-to-end US accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in US GAAP, financial reporting, compliance, and team leadership, along with the ability to partner with stakeholders across geographies and ensure accurate and timely financial close.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in US accounting.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP (SAP FICO).
• Proven experience in managing and leading accounting teams.
• Strong communication skills for working with US stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, financial close, and reporting.
• Ability to work in overlapping US time zones as required.
