The ITS/Transportation Technology Manager will lead the Intelligent Transportation Systems practice for Colorado and the Greater West region (Montana, Wyoming, Idaho). Reporting to senior transportation leadership, the manager will build and mentor a resilient team, strengthen client relationships, and capture new business opportunities. The role also serves as an ambassador for advanced transportation technologies and oversees technical delivery on large, complex projects.
In addition to local duties, the manager will support regional expansion, act as a subject‑matter expert for emerging technologies, and collaborate with peers and senior leaders on strategy, industry engagement, and targeted recruiting. Duties include coordinating work assignments across markets, ensuring work‑life balance, and providing technical guidance to staff. The position requires close interaction with division and office leadership to drive client engagement, business development, and project execution.
Candidates must hold a BA/BS (or equivalent) with at least ten years of relevant experience, including two years of leadership, and be U.S. citizens. Preferred qualifications include a professional engineering license in Colorado, fifteen-plus years in transportation engineering, and five years of leadership experience. Proven expertise in ITS design, connected‑vehicle systems, systems engineering, and TSMO, as well as a strong reputation within the mountain‑state transportation community, is essential.
