EHS/Safety Co-Op

Description

The EHS Co‑op will provide operational and divisional support to the EHS team, coordinating safety training, meetings, and documentation while assisting with site inspections and data management.

• Provide operational and divisional support to the EHS team.
• Coordinate safety training and orientation with EHS Advisors.
• Identify safety trends and patterns proactively.
• Organize safety‑related meetings and events, including the annual JHSC summit and senior leadership meetings.
• Prepare start‑up packages with required templates and documentation for projects.
• Assist in administering EHS policies, manuals, standards, procedures, and rules.
• Order and ship supplies and resources for project sites and yards.
• Support site visits and inspections.
• Manage statistical data and reports, ensuring timely and accurate EHS reporting.

Ideal candidates are current students or recent graduates in Occupational Health and Safety, with strong computer and communication skills, self‑motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Current student or recent graduate of an Occupational Health and Safety program.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other computer applications.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Self‑motivated with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Sound judgment with problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within the GTA.
