Senior Estimator

Description

This role leads estimating efforts for public sector projects. The focus is on securing profitable work, managing risk, and building trusted relationships with municipal, state, and federal clients. Projects range from mid-size civic facilities to large infrastructure developments that exceed 100 million dollars.

• Use current estimating software and digital takeoff tools to complete work accurately and on time.
• Work with the Preconstruction and Operations teams to develop budgets, schedules, and bid logistics.
• Lead estimating efforts at the conceptual, schematic, and detailed stages for civic, transportation, education, and infrastructure projects.
• Represent the company at industry events and professional associations.
• Support post-bid reviews and lessons learned sessions.
• Stay current on market trends, escalation, and public procurement requirements.
• Support the pursuit of new public work opportunities that fit company goals while protecting against risk.
• Participate in bid days, complete global risk analyses, and provide pricing strategy recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with public agencies, architects, engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors.
• Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare bid packages, conduct scope reviews, analyze subcontractor proposals, and develop bid clarifications.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Comfortable in a digital and paperless estimating environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and driven to produce high quality work.

Benefits

Base salary range: 120,000 to 160,000 dollars, depending on experience and qualifications.
