The incumbent will lead the renewable energy team’s substation engineering, providing detailed design and studies for utility and developer clients in North America, and collaborate with wind, solar, and green hydrogen teams.
Key responsibilities include engineering, detailed design, and delivery of substation projects (4 kV‑500 kV), creating drawings, studies, bidding documents, procurement and construction packages, and coordinating with civil, structural, high‑voltage, telecom and geotechnical engineers.
The role also serves as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and Technical Lead, supports business development, mentors junior staff, conducts QA/QC, and may require up to 30% travel to client sites in North America and internationally.
Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, at least 10 years of substation experience (4 kV‑500 kV), proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS, and knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE and local codes. Preferred qualifications include a PE license and a Master’s degree.
