Senior Project Mechanical Design Engineer

Description

This role requires an independent leader to manage the full mechanical design lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of complex systems.

• Monitor installation quality on site until project completion.
• Design and specify complex mechanical systems (HVAC, LTHW, Chilled Water, etc.).
• Lead the Mechanical Services design for a range of Data Centre and building projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop internal design standards.
• Produce detailed schematics and fully detailed tender packages.
• Manage project scope, budgets, and reports, liaising directly with clients, architects, and project managers.

• Qualifications: Honours Degree (Chartered status is a strong advantage).
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects confidently from the concept stage to successful handover.
• Experience: 10+ years as a Senior Engineer with essential, in-depth mechanical building services design experience within Data Centre engineering projects.
• Software Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech (or similar), and REVIT is a significant plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of key standards (CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN Standards).
• Communication: Excellent ability to liaise with clients and project stakeholders.
