We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Consultant to support the growth of our design, modelling and simulation consultancy business. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, the role will be central to delivering a wide range of structural engineering projects and can be based in either our Derby or Bristol (Quayside) offices.

Hold a BSc (2:1+), MSc or PhD in engineering, science, or applied mathematics.
Deep knowledge of material behavior, thermo‑mechanical fatigue, fracture, crack propagation, and contact modeling.
Proven experience delivering structural design, stress analysis, durability, and fracture mechanics projects (e.g., as a Stress Engineer).
Proficient with commercial FEA tools (ABAQUS, ANSYS) and capable of extending them via user‑defined functions.
Familiarity with structural integrity assessment and design codes (preferred).
Confident in growing structural capability within an innovative multidisciplinary team.
Strong customer interaction skills and ability to drive business development, with a network in regulated industries.
Chartered Engineer status or progressing towards chartership.
