Key responsibilities include overseeing day‑to‑day metallurgical operations, implementing test‑work results and optimisation strategies, troubleshooting process issues to maintain consistent recoveries, maintaining process documentation and reporting, supporting the Metallurgy team in long‑term strategy development, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
We are recruiting contract Plant Metallurgist and Senior Metallurgist roles for sites across Australia and overseas, with various roster patterns, FIFO/DIDO or residential options. Experience in the mining industry is essential. Contracts run 3‑6 months with immediate start dates.
Candidates must hold a degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, be proficient with metallurgical software (e.g., Excel, accounting systems), and have 3‑5 years of relevant mining experience. Demonstrated expertise in mineral processing, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are required. Physical fitness for on‑site work, willingness to work remotely, a valid driver’s licence, Australian work rights, and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance are also mandatory.
