  • Set and manage expectations with stakeholders, addressing concerns and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Review, audit, and sign closing documents as required.
  • Recommend and implement technology or process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Communicate proactively with all parties to coordinate closings.
  • Collect and maintain post-closing documentation.
  • Apply effective time management and judgment in daily closing operations.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of deliverables.
  • Participate in additional projects and assignments as directed.

  • Adhere to compliance standards and stay current with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain quality control of all closing files, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Generate and deliver monthly deficiency reports on closing company and agent performance.
  • Partner with Investments, Asset Management, and Treasury teams on closing activities.
  • Ensure timely disbursement and receipt of funds.
  • Oversee a working pipeline and ensure target close dates are met.
  • Audit settlement statements to confirm accuracy with purchase agreements, property records, and applicable laws.
  • Manage financial and contractual matters with closing companies and real estate agents.
  • Identify areas of strength and improvement within the Investment department, providing recommendations.
  • Train, mentor, and cross-train new staff or real estate agents as needed.

  • Experience as a title/escrow officer, closer, processor, or real estate paralegal (recommended).
  • Highly detail-oriented, able to produce accurate work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience reconciling and balancing closing documents.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and communication skills to address issues proactively.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Ability to monitor pipeline activity and manage quality control.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving concepts and work effectively in high-volume, data-driven environments.
  • Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Notary license required within 6 months of start date.
  • Real estate agent/broker license (preferred).
  • Fair Housing certification (preferred).
  • Familiarity with electronic signing platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate required; advanced preferred).
