Manage all department resources within business plan and financial targets.

Achievement of engineering license (Canadian P.Eng or US PE).
Training experience to develop and execute increased process improvements through the development of programs to address the improvement of work control and efficiency practices.
Highly motivated and results oriented self-starter with strong engineering and people management skills and experience.
Highly developed safety background with extensive knowledge of nuclear safety practices and requirements through site specific experience and operations focus.
P.Eng registration with PEO or equivalent required.
Comprehensive experience with the safety and operational aspects of commercial reactors
Strong people leader who can motivate and engage a team.
People oriented with strong business acumen and an innate ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients.
Involvement and knowledge of the development of the post Fukushima strategies and subsequent capital projects.
Advanced knowledge and capabilities in executing initiatives which improve equipment reliability index, and the performance of O&M'and capital projects for nuclear utilities.
Highly developed capability in the area of costing, scheduling and the overall management of utility operational projects.
Serving in a leadership position at a commercial nuclear power plant site at department head level as a minimum, including demonstrated experience with improving engineering performance at a plant site.
Excellent written and verbal communicator with superior interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Engineering or technical degree from a university of recognized standing, with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Extensive exposure and experience with human performance tools for utilities to reduce the human error rate and subsequent lost generation and equipment damage.
Demonstrated experience in leadership of a significant engineering department.
Strong negotiator, complex problem solver, influencer and decision maker.
Hands on experience with efficiency reviews, monitoring and process improvement implementation resulting in improved equipment reliability and site performance.
Uses strong business, technical, financial and logistical skills, combined with the ability to identify areas of opportunity to make bottom-line-oriented decisions that improve results and support long and short-term planning.
Plant management experience with exposure to day-to-day operations and oversight.
Experience with supervision, oversight and plant site maintenance resulting in increased efficiencies and the customization of specialized teams to enhance overall performance.
At least 5 years commercial nuclear power plant experience, to include the following:
Extensive experience in managing multi-million-dollar operating budgets.
Uses visionary qualities to look ahead and act on new opportunities.
Demonstrated knowledge of INPO / WANO fundamentals and practices.
