Apply adult learning theory, industry best practices, and evidence-based instructional design strategies to learning program and training material development.
Design and develop clear and engaging end-to-end learning and performance-focused solutions aligned to strategic business objectives.
Act as internal consultant and trusted advisor to program stakeholders, adeptly maneuvering through the instructional design process from analysis through evaluation.
Conduct needs assessment and training needs analysis to develop strategic guidance and design learning solutions.
Serve as backup support for learning management system (LMS) administration.
Ensure alignment and collaboration amongst stakeholders by effectively developing, communicating, and negotiating buy-in to work plans, timelines, and scope.
Draft, revise, and edit instructional materials such as course outlines, templates, style guides, video and audio scripts, instructor guides, participant guides, learning assessments, and course evaluations.

3-5 years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of training materials for multiple delivery methods (instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, web-based training development, blended learning solutions).
Experience working within the engineering or professional services industry
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience applying graphic design principles and best practices to training development.
Experience with Adobe Premiere or other video development tools.
Knowledge of and practical experience with the application of adult learning theory, instructional methodologies, technology-enabled design, and learning methods.
Ability to diplomatically influence stakeholders to adopt best practices and evidenced-based approaches to instructional design.
Experience with Cornerstone LMS
Experience with Articulate Storyline or other web-based training development tools.
Superior communication and written language skills, including grammar.
Experience with LMS administration.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint to develop training templates, visual aids, and job aids.
Knowledge of accessibility principles / practices and the implications for design and development.
