- Coordinate movements of eyes, hands, and fingers with full use of hands, arms and fingers.
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally more.
- Assist with supervision of craft personnel to ensure project is constructed by design, within budget and on schedule.
- Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
- Monitor personnel for compliance with safety and working procedures.
- Advise Superintendent of all potential problems and assist in problem solving.

- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent plus formal journeyman carpentry training and/or supervisory training courses.
- Required: 5 years construction experience or 2 years experience with 4-year degree.
- Preferred: Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
- Thorough knowledge of all safety requirements.
- Ability to motivate employees and handle different situations.
- Must be able to see well (naturally or with correction).
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or work at any height.
- Must be able to work under stressful deadline situations.
- Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to comprehend business math and interpret data from various sources.
