- Production of project deliverables utilizing techniques to improve quality and efficiencies
- Management of document control procedures and systems such as ProjectWise or SharePoint that maximize efficiencies
- Preparation of standards and best-management procedures that drive production consistencies and quality across all project team members (internal and external)
- Determination of production budgets and schedules needed per deliverable
- Development of horizontal/vertical geometries and three-dimensional models in MicroStation and Open Roads Modeler (or comparable CAD software) using design criteria and specifications established by agencies and clients that we support
- Generation of construction quantities using client specifications and guidelines for engineer’s estimates

- Previous work on TxDOT or other state DOT projects
- Experience with the latest version of AutoCAD or MicroStation
- A minimum of seven (7) years of CAD and/or engineering technician experience producing transportation project deliverables
- Ability to create and manage production standards and document control procedures using appropriate software including ProjectWise, SharePoint, etc.
- Experience with MicroStation ORD
- High school or technical school education with courses in CAD (equivalent experience considered)
- Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to build strong relationships and interact effectively with coworkers and public agency officials
