Builds and manages NSW's integrated transport network: roads, rail, ferries, light rail and infrastructure.
In this role you will lead a small, capable team and guide a diverse portfolio of technology projects, shaping how project delivery operates across the organisation. You’ll streamline delivery processes, strengthen governance, and ensure clear visibility of risks, issues, financials, commercial impacts and reporting into IT governance forums and steering committees.
As Senior Manager Technology Project Delivery you will be the central point of guidance across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with delivery frameworks, stakeholder needs and organisational priorities. You will also lead the Project Management Community of Practice, supporting senior and emerging project managers and embedding a consistent, mature approach to technology delivery.
Your leadership will balance strategic direction with hands‑on support. Working closely with product leaders and the PMO, you will match capacity with demand, raise delivery standards and guide projects from early shaping through to completion, covering proposals, business cases, specifications, contracts, budgets, vendor coordination, stakeholder and risk management while driving continuous improvement.
You thrive in a role that mixes people leadership, delivery oversight and building fit‑for‑purpose project governance. You have previously held senior project delivery or program‑manager positions overseeing complex IT, infrastructure or data projects, and you can juggle multiple streams while keeping everything aligned, transparent and moving.
You have strong experience setting up and streamlining project delivery approaches to provide structure and visibility around risks, issues, financials, commercial considerations and governance. You don’t just follow frameworks; you help shape them and make them work in practice.
You remain calm with complexity, confident with stakeholders and quick to adapt. You communicate well across teams, vendors, partners and leadership groups, and you understand how large technology projects—especially in construction or asset‑centric settings—function and interconnect with broader organisational priorities.
You hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
