Description

• Client-focused - attending client meetings and maintaining good working relationships with Clients
• Work within a project team of engineers and designers in our Civil Group

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant Civil/ Structural engineering experience
• Ability to lead a small to medium size design project from start to completion with minimal oversight
• Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs.
• Detailed technical knowledge of structural engineering design including steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations
• Strong understanding of safety in design principles
• Strong and confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to write clear and concise documents and be able to clearly explain technical information and concepts to internal and external parties
• RRSP match
• as well as experience with AutoCAD
• Ability to mentor / provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an attention to detail are essential
• Knowledge of Civil works including site preparation, earthworks and retaining walls
• Results-oriented and self-driven individual with experience juggling multiple projects and meeting project deadlines
• Able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
• Adequate knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standards
• The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Proficient on software applicable to structural engineering design such as STAAD-Pro
