The role is responsible for monitoring and managing project costs, analyzing budget variances, and implementing strategies to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. These tasks will include cost planning and estimating, advising on procurement strategies, value engineering, tender documents review, analysis, negotiations and recommendations, Contract reviews, interim valuations and payment certificates, variations analysis, recommendations and management (contractors / consultants), costs analysis with PMC and cost consultants. Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks.

  • Develop and implement cost control procedures and systems to monitor project budgets and expenditures with project management companies and cost consultants for assigned projects.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying budget variances and analyzing their impact on project profitability.
  • Collaborate with project managers, cost consultants, finance teams, and stakeholders to establish budgetary goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate favorable contracts and pricing terms.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost forecasts, budget summaries, and variance analyses.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to project teams, helping to optimize resource allocation and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Manage the preparation of detailed cost estimation and analysis for projects, including materials, rates, labor, equipment, and other related expenses.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to cost control procedures and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Tendering, Procurement, Cost Analysis, Financial Budget Report, etc.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, conduct regular reviews and compare across project stages (concept, schematic, detailed design, tender etc) and recommend strategies to minimize expenses without compromising project quality or scope.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent RICS certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Infrastructure projects in UAE.
  • 5 years of Pre & Post contract experience within an International Consultancy/Developer.
  • UAE experience a must
  • Experience in working on large master plan communities a must.
  • Experience in reporting and software tools.
  • Strong budgeting skills
  • Advanced Skills in Excel
