Health Safety Environment Officer

Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized HSE/BCM Officer to join our BEEAH Abu Dhabi team. This role is responsible for inspecting the operations sites and report the unsafe practices to QHSE Manager in line with company safety policy, client requirements and company safety procedures, in order to ensure safe working environment and legal compliance in terms of HSSE..

• Conducts HSE Inspection inside camp / labor accommodations and facilities inside camp such as kitchens / dining halls and ensures conformity to safety standards.
• Plan, Perform and record quarterly OHSE inspections of static and moving equipment and power tools.
• Supervise, monitor, and manage the security guards and office facilities team.
• Inspection of fire extinguishers as per the schedule.
• Conducts Inspection on contractor’s activities who work inside Bee’ah premises.
• Follow up with Insurance companies on workmen compensation claims.
• Safety supervision of manual and mechanical washing in main roads.
• Perform HSE inspections on daily basis in workshop, parking lot, yard, office and raise any non-conformities related to safety and follow up until corrective actions are taken.
• Performs work activities in different shift timings, as per the requirements, including night shifts when required.
• Assist HSE Manager in identifying the hazards and implementation of control measures.
• Conducts HSE related toolbox talks & trainings as and when necessary.
• Monitors the compliance of all employees with the requirement of client safety policy and company safety procedures.
• Perform OSHE Internal audits as and when required and advised by the HSE Manager.
• Assist HSE Manager in preparing incident investigation reports and ensure that all incidents and hazards are reported in a timely manner.
• Follow up with hospital / health authorities on work related accident cases and provided required assistance to the injured employees while on treatment.
• Conduct mock drills.
• Provides HSSE Induction for new joiners & visitors.
• Maintain the HSSE records and prepare weekly and/ or monthly HSSE statistics and performance reports.

Requirements

• 3 – 7 Years of experience as Safety Inspector / Officer / HSSE Officer
• Knowledge in Facilities Management
• Waste Management / Facilities Management Industry experience will be an added advantage.
• MS Office Knowledge – Excel & PPT
• HSSE Auditing Knowledge
• Knowledge of BCM
• Communication skills in Hindi/Urdu/Arabic required.
• Incident / Accident Investigation Knowledge
• Presentation skills
• First Aid Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in any discipline
• Reporting Skills
• Flexible to work in shifts (including night shifts)
• Knowledge of OSHAD SF, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 Management systems
• Good communication Skills in English
• Knowledge of Accommodation Management
• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certificate, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, Other HSE Certifications preferred
