Architectural Sales Representative

Description

The focus of this role is to secure specifications for forthcoming projects by working closely with the architectural and design community, as well as identifying and securing orders by challenging competitor specifications.

The Sales Executive applies extensive product, technical, and application expertise to promote products including metal suspended ceilings, rafts, baffles, wall cladding, and other related finishes.

• Agree performance measures for managers and supervisors, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence.
• Provide data-driven strategic initiatives to improve Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance.
• Record and provide accurate, detailed market, competition, and related intelligence to the company.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to the role.
• Drive both short- and long-term growth in sales volume, gross profit, and market recognition in line with agreed budgets.
• Develop and maintain a high level of relevant technical and industry knowledge.
• Support implementation of 5S and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Ensure budget targets are achieved within quality and cost parameters.
• Ensure understanding and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures (central and local).
• Undertake projects within the scope of the position.
• Proactively develop relationships with architects, interior designers, specification writers, owners, investors, general contractors, and specialist installation contractors to increase preference and demand for products and systems. Actively network within the industry.
• Develop and implement strategies to deliver continuous growth and increased profitability.
• Ensure all activities enhance customer satisfaction and meet the needs of all interested parties.
• Collaborate with Plant Managers, Functional Leaders, and Directors to maximise business profitability.
• Travel for business as required.
• Work closely with designers to provide solutions that satisfy aesthetic, technical, and commercial project requirements.
• Promote the reduction, re-use, and recycling of waste, materials, and products.
• Maintain and regularly update a detailed sales portfolio within the company CRM system.
• Challenge, act, respond, and evaluate all health, safety, and environmental risks and improvement opportunities.
• Actively track projects from early design stages through to product order and installation.
• Carry out any reasonable request from Directors, Managers, Supervisors, or other staff.
• Understand, promote, and apply the Company’s 5C’s values.
• Work within company management systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with all standards, legislation, governance, and specifications.

Requirements

• Willingness to complete relevant training as required.
• Proven record of commercial success and strong business acumen, ideally within construction/manufacturing, working with architects and contractors.
• Relevant education or extensive equivalent experience in sales, construction, or manufacturing.
• Dynamic, results-oriented, and capable of demonstrating a clear, concise, and innovative thought process.
• Appreciation of solution-led design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
