Description

Structural analysis of projects using a variety of analysis software.
Model structures and create structural framing plans, sections, and details using Revit
Design components of buildings such as timber framing, concrete framing, masonry framing, light gauge framing, and steel framing and connections.
Prepare design calculations for projects using local approved codes.
Analyzes and documents the failure analysis and causation of failures.
Collaborates with Fire Investigators to produce detailed reports outlining the cause and origin of losses and damages.
Serves as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions.
Collaborates with EFI’s national team of forensic experts to leverage experiences and assist on projects.
Perform structural engineering design and prepares design and construction documents.
Investigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.
Coordinate structural engineering design concepts with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and forensic engineering projects for clients.
Meet with clients and other consultants to coordinate the structural design work for projects.
Visit sites to assist in documenting and measuring existing framing conditions.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development.
Review shop drawing, RFIs and submittals for approval of construction. Surveys losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings
Conducts investigations to determine and document the scope of damage.
