The role is responsible for planning, supervising, performing, and coordinating all phases of installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of systems in new or remodeled facilities, while also managing the daily activities of a crew of workers.
The position requires interpreting specifications and blueprints, laying out work for the crew, pre‑planning daily tasks to meet schedules, monitoring quality control, ordering materials, completing required documentation, coordinating equipment, supporting the site superintendent, and traveling to job sites on short notice.
- Interpret specifications and read blueprints
- Lay out work and pre‑plan daily crew activities to meet schedules
- Monitor quality control of craft work and address issues
- Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials
- Complete required project documentation (daily, safety, ESR, inspection reports)
- Coordinate equipment needs, ensure qualified operators, and maintain equipment
- Support the jobsite superintendent in project coordination
- Perform related trade work as needed and travel to job sites on short notice
- Implement production improvements and best practices
- Enhance safety, quality, and productivity on the jobsite
- Train and instruct crew members in safe work practices and proper PPE use
- Audit compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Assist HR and the superintendent with hiring, training, performance appraisals, and employee issues
- Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of craft workers (up to six or more)
- Complete ESRs for employee status changes and conduct regular performance reviews
- Mentor and train new workers and apprentices, promoting skill development
- Ensure accurate classification for Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship compliance

Candidates should have at least seven years of experience in a pipe supervisory role, a high school diploma or GED preferred, proficiency in one or more craft areas, the ability to supervise six or more workers, strong safety awareness, blueprint reading skills, basic math abilities, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and email communication.
