Field Bracket Superintendent

Description

The Field Bracket Superintendent will lead all on‑site activities related to steel bracket installation for residential and commercial projects in Edmonton and surrounding areas. This hands‑on role involves coordinating subcontractor crews, enforcing safety and quality standards, managing schedules and budgets, and serving as the primary liaison between the project team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

• Oversee and supervise all bracket installation activities on‑site
• Coordinate subcontractor crews to ensure efficient, safe, and in‑scope work
• Develop and maintain installation schedules, adhering to project timelines
• Serve as primary point of contact for field matters with managers, engineers, clients, and contractors
• Promote a safety‑first culture and enforce all safety regulations and policies
• Ensure bracket installation complies with drawings, technical specifications, and local building codes
• Monitor quality control, conduct inspections, and prevent rework
• Manage material and equipment logistics, maintaining on‑site inventory to avoid delays
• Identify and resolve installation issues, site conditions, or crew challenges promptly
• Maintain accurate daily records, progress reports, and safety documentation
• Prepare and review customer billing and invoicing details before submission

Requirements

The position requires frequent physical activity such as bending, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lb, with approximately 60 % of the work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and the remaining 40 % in an office setting.

Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, though overtime and weekend work may be needed during busy construction periods. Pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing is required.

• Minimum five years experience in bracket installation, foundation work, or home building
• Strong knowledge of bracket equipment, safety standards, and construction scheduling
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract and ability to lift 50 lb unassisted
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore) and Microsoft Office
• Safety‑conscious mindset with excellent organizational and time‑management skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Proven problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
