A global leader in power management, providing energy-efficient solutions for various industries.
This two‑year rotational program consists of two distinct 12‑month assignments, allowing you to design the world’s next intelligent power‑management solutions. You will deepen both leadership aptitude and technical depth, focusing on power‑electronics technology platforms and common hardware building blocks. Strategic teams work on cutting‑edge technologies such as MV power conversion, solid‑state circuit protection, transportation electrification, energy intelligence, and more.
The program delivers a personalized experience—no two participants share the same responsibilities. Rotations span diverse businesses and locations, requiring relocation to an endorsed Eaton site to maximize learning. Early role exploration and the LDP Core Learning Series build functional expertise and leadership capabilities.
After completing the program, you will be prepared for larger challenges within the Engineering & Technology function, with pathways to technical specialist or people‑leadership roles.
Basic qualifications include a Master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering (graduating before August 2026), at least one internship or co‑op (or 3 months of power‑electronics experience), and geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States. Eaton will not sponsor immigration or work‑authorization visas for this position.
Preferred qualifications are demonstrated campus or community leadership, two or more relevant internships, hands‑on power‑electronics hardware/control design or model‑based design, and exposure to simulation tools such as RTDS, OPAL‑RT, Typhoon, dSPACE, or MATLAB. Experience with machine‑learning or AI concepts—including AI‑assisted development tools and generative‑AI models—is also valued.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. The role may involve up to 25 % travel within a local region, and you must be willing to relocate to sites such as Raleigh (NC), Pittsburgh (PA), Milwaukee (WI), Southfield (MI), or Torrance (CA) during the program.
We make what matters work, and if you want to make an impact in the world, Eaton’s Early Talent Programs give you a global stage. Your assignments go beyond routine tasks, offering a chance to drive innovation in intelligent power management and shape the company’s future. You’ll collaborate with seasoned leaders and gain diverse experiences that help you define and reach your career goals.
In the Engineering & Technology Program you will support product engineering projects that power the next wave of innovation for Eaton’s products. The role includes mentorship from senior leaders and the opportunity to influence peer engagement through LDP advisory boards. Eaton offers a competitive total rewards package, including a $95,000 annual salary and a one‑time $15,000 signing bonus.
