The Role
Overview
Prepare and coordinate structural steel shop drawings using SDS2 and industry standards.

Tasks
-Draw details and sub materials for fabrication. Coordinate job requirements with project managers and subcontractors. -Read Structural & Architectural design drawings; use this information to create 3D model in SDS2. Draw erection plans, elevations & sections for field use. -Attend team coordination meetings. -Prepare shop drawings (Definition of shop drawing: drawing of each part required of the structural steel. This drawing will be used by the steel fabricator and includes, but is not limited to, member size, length, notches, position & holes diameter, welds and bolts).

What You Bring
-Advanced math skills. -Knowledge of industry standards- AISC manual, Code of Std Practice, Spec, AWS symbols & proper application of all of the aforementioned. -Capacity to be team-oriented. -Ability to work fulltime in Augusta Office. -Knowledge of construction means and methods & procedures for shop and field applications. -Speak, read & write in English. -Ability to ask questions for clarification and understanding. -SDS2 Experience. -Able to prepare shop drawings, final stage before fabrication. -Ability to see in 3D.
