Responsible of the engineering offices’ budget (investments, overheads, other costs) with support of regional offices controller

Nominate the key people on project execution with support of discipline owners
Deploy GRID engineering tools and process, including KPI used to measure engineering performance and effectiveness.
Attend tender technical validation meetings to bring Return of experience on past projects and ensure effective involvement of Engineering at ITO phase
Preparation of basic Single Line Diagram, Layout Plan & Section of Overall plant, Equipment control room, Earthing Layout, DSLP Layout, Trench Layout etc
Define required recruitment plans per discipline
Align the ‘Make or Buy ‘strategy for engineering activities within the region and define the needs with the discipline Owners
ITO (tender) drawings, BOQ estimation, RFQ finalization & evaluation of various components, selection of equipment with best pricing options.
Involve the project engineering function at ITO phase and make it accountable for engineering budget and technical solution proposed.
Regionalize and rationalize the engineering function in the region
Nominate discipline Owners with support of Operations
Ensure knowledge capitalization through ROE, toward sales, tendering team and Project Engineering
Organize and animate engineering community with regular communication
Regularly manage and review performance of lead team according to GE practices.
Attends gate reviews with execution team to assess review effectiveness

HV (Primary) designs for 132 kV and above GIS/AIS Substation Engineering for Grid Interconnected Projects
Earthing design, Lightning design, Cable Sizing, Battery Sizing, Illumination system design, Sag Tension calculation, Short Circuit Force and Bus- bar Sizing as per IEEE/IEC.
Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages
Evidence of regular engineering team information/exchange meeting
Strong influencing and relationship building skills
LV/MV Engineering for the collector substation, unit substation & pooling station
HVDC/FACTS integrated project applications.
Competency on specialized tools like CANECO, ETAP, CDGES or equivalent
Knowhow of IEEE / IEC codes, safety in design/EHS aspects, AC substation industry engineering practices.
KPI in place, some consolidation done region level with analysis and associated improvement plan
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical requirements and business needs.
Successful experience in management of engineering teams
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, from an accredited college or university.
