The HR role serves as the primary point of contact for site leadership, translating business goals into HR strategies that support production, quality, safety, and workforce stability. It leads workforce planning, staffing, and organizational design, partners with corporate HR for consistent program execution, manages employee relations including investigations, coaching, and issue resolution, and promotes an inclusive high‑performance culture.
The HR leader maintains strong visibility on the production floor, partners with Talent Acquisition for timely hiring of hourly, skilled‑trade, and salaried roles, oversees onboarding, desk setup, seating assignments, and new‑hire integration, monitors turnover trends and implements site‑specific retention strategies, collaborates with corporate training on compliance and development, guides performance reviews, corrective actions, and development plans, and coaches supervisors in leadership and employee engagement.
The position ensures consistent application of policies and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, safety standards, and company policies across all shifts. It oversees HR processes such as attendance, leaves of absence, accommodations, and personnel records, supports unemployment claim management, assists with employment‑based legal matters alongside Corporate HR and Legal, partners with EHS on safety initiatives, incident response, and workers’ compensation, and maintains HR metrics and dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in HR, business or a related field (or equivalent experience), 5‑8 years of progressive HR experience in high‑volume manufacturing, a strong employee‑relations background with investigation and coaching skills, the ability to partner with operations leaders in a fast‑paced environment, and knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, HCM systems, and data analytics. Preferred qualifications are HR certification (SHRM‑CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) and experience in multi‑shift manufacturing.
