The coordinator will support on‑load and off‑load of material from naval assets, perform physical inventories according to client policy, and coordinate material to position assets for operational requirements. Additional duties include identifying process‑improvement opportunities, operating material handling equipment after training, and keeping Nakupuna project leadership informed of issues that could affect contract deliverables. Compliance with company quality standards and safety requirements is required, and the position may be assigned to either first or second shift based on operational needs.
Ideal candidates are self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and possess strong oral and written communication skills. They must be in good physical condition, hold a valid state driver’s license, and be able to obtain a base access pass and a favorable NSA/NACI security check (including FBI fingerprint). Required experience includes at least one year in DoD or commercial logistics or inventory procedures, with Navy supply system knowledge and an active SECRET clearance or CAC considered desirable.
The position is located in San Diego, CA, and may require up to 25% travel, including international destinations, with reimbursement per JTR. Physical duties involve frequent lifting of up to 25 lb (occasionally up to 50 lb), extensive walking, climbing, and handling of small objects on naval vessels or in non‑climate‑controlled warehouses. This federal contract is subject to the Service Contract Act; the projected hourly rate is $31.24 plus applicable health and welfare payments.
