The Maintenance Supervisor provides essential maintenance support and is accountable for delivering on commitments to residents, including quality move‑in experiences, resident satisfaction, timely service, and personal attention. This role is instrumental in helping Cushman & Wakefield deliver superior customer service to our community. The supervisor responds to resident service requests and ensures a high standard of care.
Key duties include preparing market‑ready apartments through painting, carpet cleaning or repair, general repairs, and housekeeping to ensure a quality product. The supervisor completes resident service requests promptly and maintains knowledge of diverse maintenance functions such as plumbing, pool upkeep, HVAC, carpentry, electrical work, painting, caulking, snow removal, and life‑safety issues. Grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog parks are kept clean and safe, while on‑call emergency procedures are performed as required. Maintenance issues that affect the budget, such as life‑safety concerns, vacant repairs, or property damages, are reported to management, and preventative maintenance is scheduled, performed, and recorded. Ongoing training and compliance with housing laws, codes, policies, and safety procedures are also required.
The supervisor must be able to work any shift from Sunday to Saturday to support business needs, use cleaning agents and equipment safely, and demonstrate basic math skills, including calculations of rates, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation. A valid driver’s license is required, and a CPO certification may be necessary depending on city or state regulations. The role also requires EPA 608 Type II certification or an equivalent local certificate.
Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, GED, or trade/technical/vocational education, and a minimum of three years of related maintenance experience. The work environment includes a professional office setting with standard equipment and regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions. Physical demands involve climbing stairs, traveling between buildings, standing or sitting for up to 85% of the shift, operating office machinery, traveling up to 10% of the time, and lifting or moving objects up to 100 lb as needed.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed, and the compensation package includes competitive hourly pay ranging from $26.35 to $31.00, guaranteed to meet or exceed minimum wage. Employees receive a comprehensive benefits program featuring health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending and health‑savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid or unpaid time off. Compensation varies based on location, experience, collective bargaining agreements, and other eligibility factors.
