3 or more years of experience in archaeological surveys and/or excavations; 1 year at the field supervisory level.
At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related discipline.
At a minimum, permittable in the NM BLM SE Region and listed on the NM SHPO Directory (additional regions are preferred).
Must be able to travel, at times on short notice, work in the field on multi-week-long projects, have excellent communication skills, and work well on a team and individually.
A valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite;
Familiarity with digital field technology (GPS, Trimble, Geode, etc.).
Report writing experience is preferred.
Ability to think critically in the field.
