Purchase materials, tools/consumables and services cost‑effectively and ethically per policy
Source equipment for rent or purchase from internal and third‑party suppliers for multiple projects
Identify and select suppliers based on specification, price, quantity, quality, safety and delivery date
Develop commodity knowledge through procurement experts, supplier resources and research
Create and issue purchase orders using the purchasing/accounting system and maintain detailed files
Maintain constructive, customer‑focused relationships with stakeholders
Identify, evaluate and escalate risks affecting project deliverables, activities or schedule
Coordinate purchasing process with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve discrepancies, warranties or returns
Prepare and analyze requests for quotes and detailed bid tabs
Leverage market awareness to streamline processes and introduce value‑creating initiatives

Awareness of common construction materials, services, tools and equipment
Clear understanding of “Best Value” concept
Effective negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong aptitude for new technology
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment independently and as part of a large team
