- Keeps work area organized and clean.
- Read and layout work orders or receive instructions from the supervisor regarding cleaning.
- Reading piece mark numbers.
- Apply coatings to wet mils necessary to achieve the dry mils required by the job specifications.
- Operation and maintenance of all applicable equipment.
- Evaluate surface preparation to assure accuracy and compliance to SSPC Codes.
- Use of grinders, chippers, sanders, and overhead cranes as needed.

- Must adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
- Knowledge of different types of coatings and application methods.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Equipment Knowledge & Skills - may include but not limited to hand blasting, machine blasting, sprayer and air compressor.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Need to know SSPC Codes.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of Environmental rules and regulations.
