What you would be doing
- Monitor job progress and inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
- Monitor stock levels of flooring material and liaise with the Transit Customer Service Leader when reordering is necessary.
- Load and unload materials onto the cutting bed, ensuring correct alignment and securing materials.
- Ensure all customer orders are completed and dispatched in line with required delivery dates.
- Collaborate wider teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cutting operations.
- Label and package all transit kits in accordance with each customer’s approved packaging specification.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and job specifications to set up the machine accordingly.
- Check the quality and condition of equipment used within the Kit Cutting area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Operate CNC cutting machines to process various materials.
- Report any machine malfunctions, material shortages, or production delays to the supervisor.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure all cut pieces meet the required accuracy standards.
- Manufacture transit kits within agreed tolerance levels, in line with customer specifications.
- Monitor stock levels of packaging consumables and inform the Transit Customer Service Leader as required.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to keep the machine in optimal condition.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, blades, and settings based on material type and job requirements.
